Uncompromising, pummeling visions of a world tricked, plundered, ravaged, and left for dead. That is, the world we live in. Betrayal, rage, hopelessness—all this we survivors feel and Kate screams into the void for us. Love the diversity of filthy musical approaches here, from death to black, doom to grind, and then some. A thumb in the eye and spittle in the face to the greedy abusers twisting knives in our guts.
Gwynplaine de Pétroleuse
A raw, crusty nightmare of blast beats, growls and shredding riffs. Another Vale release has been a long time coming, but Burden of Sight delivers in full and then some. An absolutely devastating auditory experience.
Favorite track: Grief Undone.

While it completely differs from the atmosphere of Deathconsciousness, the more rock-oriented tone of this album is a good welcome to the discography of HANL. Not my favorite, but still solid Alex Jesus
